Meet Joey

Joey Ochoa, a Coastal Bend native, was raised in Rockport, Texas. It was these deep regional roots, combined with the overlaying devastation that followed Hurricane Harvey, that first sparked his interest in urban planning. He graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University with a bachelor of science in Urban and Regional Planning. His focuses also warranted Texas State Certificates in both Geographical Information Sciences and Location Analysis. Now, as a dedicated urban planner with a diverse background in neighborhood development, ordinance and regulation creation, and the ability to grasp the greater vision of placemaking, he intends to improve regions and communities all across Texas.
