Meet Kara
Kara Bishop Buffington
Kara Bishop Buffington has spent the past two decades years refining – and pioneering – ways to galvanize public opinion around policy, planning, political, and infrastructure debates. A Central Texas native, Kara attended Pine Manor College, just outside Boston where she was recognized as a Margaret Elkins Leadership Scholar and was involved in the Center for Inclusive Leadership and Social Responsibility. Later Kara worked for a United States senator and on two presidential campaigns. She has worked in communications, campaign strategy, public event planning, and fundraising in eight states.
Kara has assisted local governments across the State of Texas with strategic planning, project management, and budgeting. She manages public engagement for Gap Strategies.
