Meet Zoya

Zoya Choudhry

Currently a Communications Fellow at Gap Strategies, Zoya is a second-generation Mexican and Pakistani American who grew up in Plano, Texas. She is a student at the University of North Texas pursuing a degree in political science.

Zoya is passionate about community outreach and organizing and has funneled this into her work with several North Texas community groups and non-profits. These include the grassroots group Latinx Dallas (renamed Barrio Dallas) and Sunrise Movement, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting climate change and economic justice.

Along with her work at Gap Strategies, Zoya works as a campus instructor at Beacon Hill, a DFW-based organization that provided tutoring and educational opportunities for more than 1,500 students in the Metroplex.

She is a fluent in Spanish.
